Raising 3:23 Homestead LLC
We chose our name,” Raising 3:23 Homestead LLC” because of our beliefs, rooted in faith. We are trying to raise our family based on Colossians 3:23, which states, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." On our homestead we raise chickens for meat and eggs, hair sheep, and pigs. We also keep bees for honey, bee products, and pollinators for growing fresh produce. We do all of these to provide first for our family, then provide God's excess to our community. We do this through sales at Farmers Markets, from our homestead, and at local events. We look forward to serving you!

About Us
We are a family of 5 living in Adams County, Indiana. We purchased our family farm in the fall of 2014 with the dream of turning the farm into our own homestead. We wanted to grow as much food for ourselves and raise our boys to know, and hopefully enjoy, hard work. We began with Tracy's passion of gardening. We slowly added more life to the homestead. First, we bought chickens for eggs. Next, we purchased chickens for meat. As we moved forward, our gardens got bigger and more chickens showed up. After getting more comfortable with the chickens and gardens, honey bees were brought to homestead. At first, we had just one hive that my dad set up to help with pollination of the gardens. As we worked with my dad, we developed our passion for bees. Man, what an AMAZING creature God has created! In our opinion if there was ever a creature to prove a creator, it is the bee! The next year we invested in five more hives. We will share more on bees later.
At this point, we felt we were ready for our next homestead addition… sheep. We were blessed enough to purchase a whole flock of sheep from a friend that consisted of 10 ewes, 1 ram, and a set of twin lambs. Little did we know when we went to pick them up, we would be bringing a pig home, too. Bonus to the bonus, she was a pregnant pig! We drove home scratching our heads wondering what we just signed on for. So began our learning journey. We have learned much from caring for our animals. However, more than anything, we have learned to see God's beauty in them. It’s a joy to watch our boys grow and learn to take care of them.
Back to bees… We purchased more hives from local people and grew to around 11 hives. Recently, we drastically expanded our bee operation. In the Spring of 2022, our family began operating approximately 50 hives for a local business. By the winter of ‘22 we began the process of purchasing their entire operation. We are so thankful and blessed for the relationship with Blue Creek Honey and Lynn and Vickie DeArmond. Also, in the fall of ‘22, Tracy began to sell at local farmers markets in Fort Wayne. We are so incredibly blessed for all the family, friends, and friends like family God has placed in our lives that help us!
